We work closely with local businesses, schools and recreational clubs and we organise a wide range of new experiences and opportunities for young people to build their confidence, independence and self worth. Each young person, all of whom will be experiencing tougher times than most, is mentored in such a way as to encourage them both to discover and work towards fulfilling their true potential.

Our Mentors are ordinary people (actually quite extraordinary people) in the community who come from all types of work and social backgrounds. DAY1 provides all the training and support they need to act as highly effective Mentors to their young people.
