DAY1 is a Lifeline that helps young people to cope with the pressures of modern life.  

Our year-long mentoring programme helps disengaged youngsters to build resilience and to achieve their potential.

Since 2005, 93% of young people matched to a DAY1 mentor have achieved a positive destination such as work, further education or training.

We have several children and youth projects, all aimed at helping the next generation to realise their potential.  Our core service is our mentoring programme. 

In June 2014, DAY1 was presented the highest national honour that can be bestowed upon volunteering groups, The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. Termed the MBE for volunteering groups it recognises the outstanding contribution made to local communities by groups in the UK voluntarily devoting their time for the benefit of others.
